Meet Sherap

Sherap Tharchen

Sherap Tharchen is a trusted advisor with extensive experience representing a diverse set of clients in a variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business formations to succession planning, financing, and real estate among others.  Clients turn to Sherap for his attention to detail, responsiveness, and his ability to manage business transactions from start to finish. Whether its negotiating, drafting, or reviewing legal documents, Sherap takes great pride in ensuring that clients understand the processes and agreements (and the details therein), which can sometimes be confusing and just overwhelming.  Sherap helps identify issues and legal risks, some of which might not always be immediately apparent, and advises clients on practical solutions to resolve or mitigate them. Sherap works closely with business owners and their management teams, and for most clients, he also serves as outside general counsel for their businesses and portfolio companies.  This allows him to have a deeper understanding of each client and their businesses.  And, for clients, they have a partner in Sherap, one who is there with them and is as committed to their success. Prior to starting Tharchen Law, Sherap was a Partner at an established law firm in Denver.  With his dedication for serving clients and demonstrated love for the law practice, Sherap was offered partnership at that firm within 4 years of practice (traditionally, an 8 to 11 years wait period).  Sherap truly enjoys assisting clients and feels blessed for this opportunity to make an impact on the lives of his clients. Outside the office, Sherap enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.  He is an avid fly-fisherman (catch-and-release only), a daring rosarian, and loves skiing and enjoying the many outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.  He also enjoys cheering on his Oregon Ducks football team.

Sherap was selected to the Super Lawyers 2023 and 2024 Colorado Rising Star List,

an honor conferred on only 2.5% percent of Colorado lawyers.

Sherap graduated from law school with a concentration in Business Organizations and International Law (both with honors) and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the Community Development Clinic, Securities Regulation, and Contract Drafting.
